Welcome aboard!

Depends on your budget, public transport (train and bus) is cheaper but slow: http://bangsaphanguide.com/bangsaphan-travel.htm

Private vans or taxis are quicker and more convenient but obviously cost more, you can book them here: http://taxihuahin.net/

Has anyone tried flying from bkk to Chumpon? Read somewhere that Nok Air operate there.

Haven't used it but see that they had two daily flights scheduled: http://www.nokair.com/nokconnext/aspx/f ... edule.aspx

Chumphon airport to Bangsaphan takes less than an hour and the back roads are quite scenic.
