Community coral reef cleaning project, Feb 2014

The Chumphon Department of Marine Conservation organises these reef cleanups once a year, went along with them to lend a hand:

Over 150kg of trash and fishing nets was hauled from the reef around the islands of Koh Ran Gai and Ped, ignorant fishing boats the culprits. Its also a shame that local hotels and resorts don't make a little more effort with these projects - afterall they are making good money ferrying tourists back and forth to the reef every day.
