Here in England (Scotland and Wales are different) you'll be able to have friends for a meal - but it is recommended they bring not only their own food but the chairs to sit on.

The bars can now actually open fully, but without any tourists - and the govt banning them from travelling here, it is unlikely they will survive.

I think this one was answered before our server migration .. but the French resort has been sold to a Thai who has dropped the price by 70% and now it is full with Bangkokians on long weekends. This seems to be the future for all tourism in Thailand.

Yeh, they turned up in late afternoon on New Year's Eve and shut the few bars and restaurants that were open. Meanwhile, the mafia and millionaire owned hotels continued with their big parties and it sounded like quite a raucous night.

Prachuap province declared a 'red zone' though nobody has ever caught Covid here ... go figure.

Prachuap province has been downgraded to "yellow status" so we're hoping for re-openings on Monday, Feb 1.
