Huge tropical storm last night bringing some well needed rain, but also very heavy winds - hope the damage was minimal.

Typical rainy season weather is upon us now - bright mornings and wet afternoons!

Diving/snorkeling season had now ended, due to very low tides and poor water quality/visibility.

What are considered the best months for sea conditions primarily for Snorkelling, diving etc. Never know what to tell friends who plan to visit BS. We were there just prior to Christmas and visibility under the water was quite poor. Incidentally not a drop of rain of any substantial amount since last October in Chaing mai hence interest in some people getting to the beach to col down. The last 2 days have been 38 degrees, hottest summer in recent memory

It varies but generally Feb to May is the best season for diving.

Bloody freezing again here, it is the longest cold spell I have experienced in 15 years in Thailand. Global warming ... pah!
