Another oil spill was detected on Wednesday from a sunken oil ship in the Gulf of Thailand. Whats with the rooster plague?

Pretty much every property around Suan Luang has a bunch of chickens, they seem to particularly favour roosters - there have to be at least 40 cockerels in the 3-4 properties near me. There are literally hundreds of them running wild around the area here, akin to a plague. If they were rats, people ...

Re: Power/electric supply problems in Suan Luang

It hasn't actually been that bad so far this year.

The power is constantly browning out and spiking throughout the day - but we haven't had many of those 2 hour outages for a while.

Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

Apparently, they're offering booster shots at local temples in the area for those that have had two Sinovacs or the Astra/Sino cocktail more than three months ago. Can just rock up, Thais and farang but would recommend going with a Thai since no English is spoken.

Re: Bangsaphan Coronavirus/Covid-19 updates

Sorry for the late response, NY and all. Some of the banks in BS are still restricting currency exchanges, and this stupid ruling seems to still be the case. If it even can be transmitted by a banknote - does Covid care if it is a 500 baht or a 20 Euro note? I think the reason is more likely that th...

Re: Cataract Operation

Spoke to someone that has had it done recently and yes, you can get it done in BS hospital but at a premium (around 30K per eye). Prachuap hospital would be substantially cheaper but you need someone to assist with transport.

Re: Getting a Thai driving license in Bangsaphan

Yes, the yellow book is actually much easier to get in Bangsaphan amphur office. It provides permanent proof of address so no need to ever go to immigration for the letter. Here are the details, though I think the process is a little easier now - https://bangsaphanguide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t...

Re: Cataract Operation

Not as far as I'm aware, but you can definitely get it done at Prachuap hospital which is far cheaper than BS anyway.

Apparently, Bangsaphan hospital has started price hiking for foreigners.
