I spear fish a lot, had quite a few barracuda and large Mackerel lately, but my old mans just come to visit for 3 months, he'll be fishing every day so I'll let you know soon.

I had another good day yesterday spear fishing, but the waters really quite murky, not as easy as it is normally, and my fathers still finding his feet with the fishing, can say that there are a lot of large Mackrel around 6-8kg very close to the shore at the moment.

Coastal strip between Bangkok and Chumphon includes nice areas including Prachuap Khiri Khan and Bang Saphan are known as fishing area.Many fishermen traditional villages are worth visiting around Bang Many traditional fisherman live in traditional villages and are worth visiting around Bang Saphan area. It is a nice opportunity to see their traditional way of life and support local community by buying their fresh fishes.

Has anyone done any local fishing? In the states, and Mexico, beach fishing is popular. A large rod is used to cast a long ways off the beach and can yield good results.

The locals use nets off the beach so you're not likely to catch much with a rod unless you take a boat out.

They also fish of any piers and bridges and there is a good tackle shop in town.

biggest problem is it is so swallow 100 meters out it isn't 1 meter deep ...
