Bangkok to Bang Saphan Run

I've been watching the start of the run on Thai News this morning, which is raising funds for Bang Saphan Hospital. Of course, I didn't understand much of what was being said.

Are any of you guys taking part? Either fund raising or running? Very surprised not to find anything about it on the forum.

Nothing is ever marketed or promoted in Bangsaphan in English (and rarely in Thai) - it is worse than Hua Hin.

Seriously, if it's a fundraiser, I'd have thought they'd be looking for money from the expat community. Thais are not usually backwards in coming forward.

Have not heard a word of this, nor seen any advertisements!! We drive by the hospital about 3 times a week.

Certainly nothing promoted locally though. Additionally the expat community of Bangsaphan are not known for their magnanimity!
